Blue Pea – An Anarkali Suit Set in Habutai Silk

My co-founder (and husband), Nishant, absolutely hates doing colour variants — especially when it comes to our bestsellers. His stance? “If it’s done once perfectly, why redo it?”

So when I pitched the idea of creating a serene blue version of our beloved Pink Matcha, he shot it down faster than I expected.
“Nope. We’re not doing this,” he said, as certain as ever.

But something about this soft, calming hue kept calling me back. So I quietly went ahead with the sampling.
When Nishant saw it for the first time — he remained unconvinced.
I still insisted, “Let’s just give it a chance.”
Reluctantly, he nodded.

We were doing this fun shoot with one of my close friends, and I decided to sneak in Blue Pea. I styled it simply, just how I envisioned someone would wear it on a slow festive morning. And that was the moment.

Post-shoot, I asked him, “So, what changed?”

He said,
“There’s something about this blue — it feels like calmness. Like exhaling after holding your breath for too long. I don’t know why, but I find it relaxing. You looked so, so beautiful in it.”

It reminded me of what happens with so many of our clients.
Sometimes they open the shipment and think, “Hmm, okay.”
