Red Flag

Red has always had a way of staying with me.

I remember one Karva Chauth evening years ago — not mine, but one I witnessed as a little girl. The women in my neighborhood, dressed in vibrant reds, their faces glowing under the moonlight, had this ethereal presence. I stood there holding my mother’s dupatta, quietly watching, and I remember thinking — “This colour feels like celebration, like warmth, like love.” That moment stayed with me, gently influencing this design today.

I created this piece as a gentle ode to that memory, to that impression red left on me. The straight fit kurta in rich georgette is delicately hand-embroidered with pearl-white floral vines — each motif crafted like a whispered prayer. The V-neckline and full sleeves frame the look in quiet grace, while the modal satin straight-fit pants add flow and subtle luxury.

The pure organza dupatta, edged with elegant lace, floats like a breeze — soft, romantic, and poetic. This isn't just a Karva Chauth outfit — it’s a story of red through my eyes. A red that holds the laughter of women gathered on terraces, the rustle of bangles, the quiet strength of tradition, and the thrill of new beginnings.
