There are some pieces that just stay with you… in your thoughts, in your drafts, in your heart — even if they haven’t yet made it to the world.
Ruhani Mauve was one of the first few designs I created when House of Dorii was still finding its rhythm. We had just begun sharing our work, and this outfit received so much love and curiosity from those who saw glimpses of it — yet for some reason, it never made it to the website. Maybe it was waiting for the right moment. Maybe I was.
But today, it’s finally here.

Crafted in modal satin, this silhouette was imagined to flow like memory — soft, grounded, and rich in emotion. The hand embroidery on the yoke, the delicate lace detailing down each kali, and the subtle glints of gold... they all came together one quiet evening while I sat sketching without pressure. The organza dupatta in soft blush pink felt like the gentlest balance against the bold mauve — like two moods in one breath.

This piece is close to me — not just for how it looks, but for what it carries.
A reminder of where we started, and how far we’ve come.
